With Christmas being just round the corner many of our clients are getting into the festive spirit with Christmas Parties (check if you can receive a tax deduction) Nativity plays, and general festivities.

It is worth reminding everyone, being a bit bah humbug, that the self assessment tax return will soon be required by HMRC (by the 31 January 19) and importantly any payments must arrive to HMRC by 31 January 19.

This maybe more of an issue for some people as it is the first full year that HMRC has banned the use of payments made on credit cards (as new rules prevent HMRC from reclaiming credit card fees).

If you have this, or any other payment problem, which will affect your ability to make payment to HMRC it is in your interest to contact HMRC at your earliest convenience to discuss if, and how they can assist you.
