There were no updates to the Governments proposals to change how IR35 operates in the private sector in last weeks spring statement.

There has been chatter that any private sector reform could take place as early as April 2019.

This is now highly unlikely,  as any legislation which would be need to be passed, is time consuming and would be difficult to implement in the time available.

If any changes are going to be made it is unlikely this will be possible before April 2020.

Expect to hear a lot more about this in the media in the next couple of months, where hopefully the Governments intentions will become clearer.
