PCG Launches advertising campaign

A national advertising campaign, ‘Britain’s Brain Gain’, has been launched by PCG

highlighting the rich pool of talent within the UK’s 1.4 million freelance workers and acknowledging their £82 billion contribution to our economy.

The newspaper campaign and Britain’s Brain Gain website detail the abilities of freelance workers throughout the UK and the many advantages of employing them.

For this campaign, PCG, the voice of freelancing, has interviewed some big movers and shakers, including industrialists such as James Bellini, Sir Tom Farmer and Michael Van Swaaij all lending their voice to support the freelancer.

Richard Lambert, the Director General of the CBI echoes their view that freelancing is a growing and vital force in Britain. He said: "Labour market flexibility will remain the UK's real competitive advantage.”

Figures show that the freelance ‘brain gain’ is helping the UK economy grow in these difficult times and they underline the increasing value of freelancers, contractors and consultants who can respond quickly to the evolving needs of business. The flexibility of the freelance community is valued at £21 billion.

We update our news page with key changes to legislation relating to contracting, including IR35 and s660a, as well as other important accounting and taxation changes.
